When You Suspect a Date is Being Dishonest

When it comes to dating, sometimes people can be dishonest about their current situation. This can mean anything from being late for dates to having a partner who is not so forthcoming with all the details. It can be very difficult to deal with such dishonesty, especially if you have begun developing feelings for your date.

If you find yourself in a situation where you realize your date has been dishonest with you, the best thing to do is confront them about it. Start off by expressing how their dishonesty has made you feel. Be honest and open about why their dishonesty bothers you; this will let them know that they can't take advantage of your trust or your feelings.

If the person refuses to be honest or continues to mislead you, it's time for a break-up. It may be difficult and uncomfortable, but ending the relationship is essential in order to protect yourself and build healthy relationships in the future. Remember that being kind but firm is key; don’t make personal attacks or resort to name-calling if things get heated.

Finally, remember that if someone is lying and hiding things from you, it’s not your fault. It may be hard to move on, but trust that you will find someone who values honesty and kindness in a relationship—someone worthy of your time and love.

All the best!
